POSITION TITLE: Marketing Information System Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible to managing (coordinate collection,
gather, analyze and present) up to date information/ data on market
conditions, steel industry, inter material industry, customer
database, segmentation & size, source of supply, competitor, market
shares, growth rates, economic indicator, etc. The core work is to
achieve outcomes through the delivery and continual improvement of the
incumbent's market analysis skills to bolster the marketing activities
and decision-making of the company.
He or she has to measure trends and prepare actionable market
intelligence and competitor reports to provide timely and high quality
information for decision-making in the company and at the Regional and
Corporate level. The incumbent will need to liaise closely with many
Departments in particular the Sales Departments, Finance Department,
Logistic Department and Customer Service Department.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
-Have adequate knowledge about steel products, industry, and market
-Have contacts with sources of intelligence like Statistics Bureau,
BKPM, etc.
-Have knowledge and skills to manage information
-Have skills to manage outsourced intelligence company - A portfolio
of research and analysis results or projects undertaken.
-Have the ability to scan information and link that to our business needs
Some references from industry player, association/ institution or
proven new business implementation for a successful outcome in the
research or study.
-Have good interpersonal skills, team player and leadership.
-Have good communication, credibility and able to interact with
people at all levels.
-Good verbal and written communication in
-Good presentation skills in a variety of formal presentation
settings (including high level board presentations) both inside and
outside the organization and should command attention and can manage
group process during the presentation. Can change tactics midstream
when something is not working.
-Willingness to travel domestically and overseas as/if required.
-Have good computer literature, such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft
PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel
-Possess strong analytical skills
-High level of energy and commitment towards continual improvement
-Pro active, able to work hard and under pressure.
-Comfortable to deal with the management level
